Wanna Cool Drone? Got $300?

Buy one of these little drones, complete with wireless camera, and you're drone capable. Want to spy on a neighbor? You can. They're easy to fly, using your iPhone as a controller, and you can spy on anything in HD.

$300. Fly it with your iPhone as the controller and take high-def images and videos with the onboard camera. Brookstone or many other sources. Indoors or out. Have a neighbor who sunbathes nude in her back yard? Your video can be online in seconds.

They're already here, and folks are posting their videos on YouTube. Here's an actual sample video, taken with one:

I own a lot of RC ornithopters, which I prefer to multi-rotor drones as they emulate birds' flapping flight.

The best among the ones I've flown and own, the Avitron:

time ago, and I managed to crash them with some regularity. Looks to me like these little 4-rotor choppers might be pretty easy to fly. However, I don't have $300 to spare on a toy right now, and none of my neighbors sunbathes nude, anyhow.

Now, if my dog gets off his leash and takes off, it might come in handy.

I've got two of these, capable of doing a flip in mid-air, but don't have the iPad app.

The video from that other one demonstrates how stable a platform it is. I'd love to have one as a toy, but too pricey for me.
