NBC News: No Suspects In Boston Bombings, But Young Person Here On A Student Visa Being Questioned
NBC News legal correspondent Pete Williams reports that authorities have not yet identified anyone who may be responsible for Mondays attack on the Boston Marathon. However, Williams reported that authorities do have a young person who is in the United States on a student visa in custody. That person is being questioned in relation to the bombings.
Boston police say there was no specific intelligence warning of any kind of attack, and federal officials tonight say there is no reason to think that this is part of any larger threat, Williams reported. At this point they believe it is confined to Boston, but a meeting tonight will decide whether any kind of national alert will be sent out.
There is no suspect in custody, authorities say, but some people are being questioned, including some with injuries who were taken to Boston hospitals, Williams continued. One of those, a person in whom there is some interest, is a young person who was here on a student visa.

(12,041 posts)If they had real evidence however he would be arrested immediately. Until he is arrested and we hear some evidence I am going to assume this guy is innocent. Of course the police are going to be questioning a lot of people, most of the people they are questioning are witnesses but highly unlikely to be perpetrators.

(6,057 posts)I'm listening to scanner traffic traffic (DHS Boston) and they're requesting an "arabic linguist" to help them with a rather agitated fellow from Morocco "with a bag".
I can guess why he's "agitated". 'Cause the area where he lives is probably sealed off and he can't get home.
