(53,035 posts)It's wonderful that they love each other so much. My dog gets along well with the neighbor cat, but they don't cuddle. That cat doesn't cuddle with anyone. She was a stray.

(570 posts)I wish my dog didn't think of my cat as lunch.

(53,035 posts)not to see cats as a food group. It took some time, but that worked with my dog as well as the neighbor dog. Have you had both animals for long?

(570 posts)The cat is 17, the dog is 4. I've tried some training with my dog, but he's harder to calm than most dogs (according to two trainers) and has strong hunting instincts.
My last dog got along fine with the cat, but I don't think I'd ever trust this one.

(51,076 posts)Great hunting dogs. One of the best for hunting the night creatures. Back when I was young and dumb we used to hunt raccoons and if you had a blue tick hound you were tops, err he was tops.
thanks for the smile this morning.
I've tried to get our pet to talk to me like this hound mix does to this person but she won't have any part of it.
