I'm sure there are multiple "anonymous" groups. Obviously, it is illegal activity, though some may condone it.

Some would argue that the answer to bad speech is more speech, not censorship.

You stated the obvious. Yes Annon is made by multiple individuals. Some are black hats, others are not. The common thread is...a drive for social and economic justice.

They are part of this reaction to globalization.

And no, nobdy, not even Scotland Yard or the FBI, (they had a super duper convo intercepted) know how many are part of this movement. Yup, some arrests have been made, but admittedly precious few.

My speculation is that more than a few anon are white hats by day. I got no other explanation as to how good they have been at covering their tracks.
