My stomach lurched...looks just like tornado damage....houses, apts, horrible damage.
That little town has suffered a massive blow.

(135,425 posts)I hope they have a viable national guard out that way--those first responders must be overwhelmed. That's a huge impact area, ripe for looting, sad to say...and so many injured.

(25,408 posts)The scenario going through their minds: It's a train derailment. It's a plane. Then, the remote possibly of a bomb.
Although I didn't see much of first responders at the scene, fortunately, it seems like they had easy access to the residential area. I assume the nursing home is across the street from the apartments.
