This has been an incredibly LAME Republican field...

I have followed every election since 1968 and this is the weakest group of candidates I have ever seen a party put up for president. Mitt Romney is winning by default. The only halfway sane competition Mitt had was Huntsman who would not play the GOP hate game. Every viable candidate decided not to run. All Mitt has had to beat are fringers like Perry, Newt, Bachman, and Paul. Even with this he has had to spend millions to see less than 50 percent of the GOP vote.

One thing that I think the pundits are full of crap about is the national appeal of NJ governor Christie. Im not even sure he is going to be re elected in New Jersey. He won with less than 50 percent of the vote in 2010.

I do think Mitch Daniels, and Jeb Bush, would have been serious candidates had they run.

Mitt Romney is going to be the most unpopular GOP nominee in years among his own base. He is going to have to make an incredibly right wing running mate to get the base even slightly excited.

But was there a red banner headline saying the equivalent of "Romney's positions: Abortion, gay rights, gun control, liberal judges, mandated socialist/fascist healthcare (RomneyCare)!"?

but it was common knowledge that McCain was not their cup of tea. He would never have even done as well as he did during the general election if he had not picked Palin as his running mate. Even then, many of them disliked him so much they stayed home.

Mitt's much-vaunted electability has taken many hits since NH - the establishment, and many moderate Republican voters, must be wishing there was another option.

I think he'd be looking quite tasty now - untainted, independent-appeal. Watching him in the debates, I was wondering what the Dems could actually throw at him. In between wondering why he just didn't join the Democrats and have done with it.
