EXPOSED: "Blue collar mechanic" in anti-union Super Bowl ad a multimillionaire lobbying consultant

Shadowy Lobbying Campaign Airs Political Ad During The Super Bowl

During the Super Bowl yesterday, the Center for Union Facts ran an ad in support for Senator Orrin Hatch’s “Employee Rights Act,” a bill that would make it much harder for workers to join unions, and easier for union-busting campaigns to decertify currently organized work places. The Center for Union Facts is one of two dozen front groups maintained by Washington political consultant Rick Berman, a “notorious PR operative,” who uses his groups to promote corporate lobbying campaigns.

The ad — part of a $10 million campaign by Berman to promote anti-union legislation — depicts several men working in a repair shop, talking about being sick of having to pay union dues. The narrator claims, “only ten percent of people in unions today actually voted to join the union.”

The arch-nemesis of union members everywhere. I saw the headline for this story on Facebook hours ago, but hadn't read it all yet. I still remember the day someone tried to use one of his websites here to "prove" something about teachers' unions. I went totally apeshit. Figures he'd be pals with Orrin Hatch. Barf.

Senator Hatch is not for the working man. What about his 17 votes to increase the debt ceiling? Laying the burden of all the ridiculous Government exploits onto the people? What about his support for the Auto and Bank bailouts? Plundering property from some to benefit his buddies? This is no different than Obama promising the mass of irresponsible people that he'll continue giving them handouts at the expense of others. Senator Hatch is a Political Crony- he's been voting far right recently only because his colleague was ousted in 2010 by the Tea Party for not being Conservative enough- and now they're going after him.
