The only reason M$M is reporting it to try to pressure Obama when he's already said no ground troops in Syria. But the neo-cons who own the media are itching for more war. Last report, Obama is ignoring their calls for war:

Obama Doesn't Foresee Ground Troops In Syria

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica -- President Barack Obama says he doesn't foresee sending U.S. ground troops into Syria.

Obama was asked at a news conference in Costa Rica what he might do if more evidence of Syrian use of chemical weapons emerges.

Obama says that as commander in chief he doesn't like to rule things out, but he doesn't foresee a scenario in which American boots on the ground would be good for the U.S. or good for Syria.

He says leaders he's consulted in the region agree.

I saw it as a surrogate doing our dirty work for us.

Obama doesn't want to get all up in it yet again after extricating us from Iraq and playing the slow exodus game from the 'stan.

We pay Israel a lot every year. They're earning their money. After all, it IS their neighborhood.

Nothing new on it; no official confirmation from the US or Israel, although they say that Israel conducted a similar strike in January, and confirm reports that Israeli warplanes were spotted over southern Lebanon early Friday.
