Not much for the big picture but in our community it's a great start, especially since the jobs do pay a living wage.

Always great to hear that one of us is headed toward some normalcy in their lives. Just started a new job about 3 weeks ago, myself, after over 4 years searching. It's just part time for now, but looks promising that I'll get to go full time in the near future.

Congrats, xmas74.

and a few of them still pay a decent rate. Of course, we all need to pay attention to what products we buy to be sure we support American jobs.

While the U.S. Carpenters Union is dying, I received a robo-call from the Canadian Union. They need 10,000 U.S. Union Carpenters, ASAP. If I were able bodied, I'd be there now....

I'll never be rich but I can live, pay bills, and not have to worry about starving or not having a place to live. I can even buy my child the occasional new outfit.
