3 year old fatally shoots self in face with meth addicted grandmas gun.

the grandmother was helping her daughter pack for a move. She left the 9mm gun in her backpack that was in another room. She saw her grandson go into the room but continued packing.5 minutes later she heard a gun shoot. The police found a meth pipe in the backpack. She admitted to using methamphetamines the night before the shooting.Her Facebook page included pictures of her family.There was also a photo of a Smith & Wesson handgun with them caption " my best friend".

To leave a gun unsecured in the home with a child?

she actually knew he was in that room ...worse than some of the other accidents like this in that she could have caught him

PSD's aren't that useful if they're out of reach. If you're going to be serious about self defense always keep your firearm within arms reach (hip holster is best) and never let an unsecured firearm out of your site no matter what.

Oh and sometimes meth kills others not just the user.
