Tickets for Boston Strong Concert~~~Sell out in minutes today!

(NECN/AP) – Tickets for the Boston benefit concert on May 30 sold out in minutes Monday.
Tickets for the concert at TD Garden went on sale at 10 a.m., and the TD Garden says they were gone within five minutes.

The concert will feature Aerosmith, James Taylor and Jimmy Buffett. The proceeds will go to The One Fund, which has taken in more than $28 million for those injured and the families of those who were killed.

Other confirmed acts include Jason Aldean, Boston, Extreme, Godsmack, The J. Geils Band, Carole King and New Kids on the Block. Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block said that like other native Bostonians, he and his bandmates are honored to do their part.

Concern about resellers scalping tickets at sky-high prices has prompted organizers to use paperless tickets. That means people who purchase tickets will have to present the credit card used to make the purchase and a valid ID to get into the concert.

Law acknowledged that the paperless ticketing system presents problems of its own — 15,000 people showing credit cards and IDs at the door will slow things down — but it’s the best way to inhibit scalpers. Before the 12.12.12 Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden, tickets originally priced from $150 to $2,500 were selling on the secondary market for several thousand dollars each.

“We’re doing everything we can to keep the brokers out of this,” said Law.

I never bothered to since they're such a problem no one does anything about. I'm glad somebody is.
