My wife and I have lived in our home for over 23 years. We haven't spoken with our next-door neighbor for 20 of those years! The acrimony stemmed out of a "misunderstanding" about the fence that separates our properties.
I learned a valuable lesson from this..."Get it in writing!"

(14,557 posts)neighborhood. Her parents helped her swing the loan so she could be
nearby. The neighbor uphill grew up in the neighborhood and bought
that house to be near his parents. Two houses down, three small houses on one lot,has
all the adult children living in the houses their father built.
Across the street from them is a house on three acres that has sat empty
for nearly 30 years. Out of State adult children own the estate, don't want to sell it yet
and don't want to be absentee landlords.
Two houses up from us is another empty home. This time the widow went into a
rest home around 15 years ago and her out of State son will not sell until she has passed.
Both of these empty homes have been paid in full for many years.
Truth is best chances are that our youngest adult child will probably live on our
property for the rest of his life.
Some neighborhoods are just like that.

(19,326 posts)or at least not for mine. It said "sorry we don't help businesses to organize neighborhood meetings" or some such.
I live in a 14 story apartment building, but apparently the program can't tell the difference between that and some random business.

(3,744 posts)She displays her Ron Paul sign in the front yard. She also has a sticker on her truck since I was behind her coming home from work one day and wondered who it was. BTW, that is the only Ron Paul sign I've seen in this Texas neighborhood.
