It seems if the Repubs are so fucking "investigation happy" they would have investigated the assault on a world leader by another world leader.
on edit: Does anyone know why he did this?

(57,936 posts)He seems to be in a daze. Is he a serial sexual harasser? There are such animals.
Maybe he thought he was being cute. If you have ever been the victim of one of these "harmless," "friendly," "so what's the fuss?" assaults you understand that this is about demeaning your victim. Making her react in a funny way. Making a fool of her.
It's mean. She should have sued him. Sorry, but that was no friendly hug. That was the act of someone who has done that before to some poor unsuspecting soul.
Remember. Bush also patted bald men's heads. Another act akin to sexual harassment. In fact, it may have been an act of sexual harassment. What do we know about Bush's sexual preferences.
Anyway. Thanks for reminding us. All women in the professional world should be on the alert for these zombie, serial sexual harassers. They are everywhere. Especially if you are not only cute and little, but very smart. Pests. But like bees, their stings can cause their prey a lot of trouble -- reduced self-esteem, pictures that show them in ridiculous poses, gossip . . . .
Note. Bush keeps a straight face. Merkel reacts physically looking unfortunately rather foolish. Bush walks on as if nothing happened. No apology. Nothing. In that room, the focus was on Merkel's reaction. Merkel was an elected official. She kept her job.
In a business setting, it's usually the woman who loses her job. She is viewed as lacking poise or worse depending on the serial harasser's technique.

Now, why did it happen? Why no questions from the media? Why no "investigations" by (the then Repub) Congress into why it happened?

I mean, if we're going on witchhunts about Benghazi, then le's look into some real malfeasance by US Presidents. After all, this was a physical assault on a world leader.
(Look at his face! His eyes! There's no expression! It's void of any feeling whatsoever!)
