Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Tuesday he found it rich that the press "wanted to ignore" the investigation into last year's deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya, in contrast to media coverage given to the emerging story about the Department of Justice's seizure of phone records from the Associated Press.

The junior Florida senator told Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly that targeting leaks of classified information constitutes a "valid law enforcement endeavor," but expressed concern by the sprawling nature of the DOJ's actions. Still, Rubio said that journalists are more concerned about the AP phone records only because the story "touches them."
