Heads up: MSNBC - The Ed Show is on NOW, 5pm ET (links added for 'video segments')

Last edited Sun May 19, 2013, 06:20 PM - Edit history (2)

Note:
I posted reminders last weekend and yesterday that Ed is now airing new shows on Saturday and Sunday.
Hopefully everyone will have marked their calendars or have stuck a post-it somewhere.
So, this will be my last 'heads up' thread regarding Ed's new show.

Edited to add...

The page where all the Ed segments are eventually uploaded, here: Here: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/45755822/
Yesterday's segments are already uploaded.
Depending on your computer it takes a few seconds for the full page to load.
Once the page loads look over on the left side of the page and click on the name of whatever show you want to see.
then there's a little scroll bar to move up and down next to the videos to see which ones are there.
But once you click on a particular show name - you can scroll to the top video and click on that and then the rest in the line up will play one after the other.
Hope all of that makes sense.

It never hurts to give a "heads up". Many of us have busy lives and forget things.

As far as I could tell his ratings in prime-time were good and he had a loyal fan base with working stiffs and union members especially. He says this gives him more time with his family and work on other projects, but this
5pm on week-ends seems like Siberia.

Before the change, Mike Papantonio was doing a couple of days every week on Ed's radio show. I think he had to find a way to keep his radio show full-time, and that meant the weeknight show on MSNBC had to end.

I think the studio suits are away yachting and playing golf for the weekend so he can get away with speaking more truths than he could during the week when they were paying attention.

He touched on those things we care about most, the latest assaults on our jobs, wages and health care and chastised some of the right wingers and their stupid Sunday morning talk show bloviations. Since I don't watch them because I think people like Newt Gingrich and Donald Rumsfeld shouldn't even be given air time, he still slapped them for their silliness.

Also, Ed, if you are reading this, congratulations on your tenth grandchild!
