Just curious how everybody did.
We won't know about Marta's work #'s until tomorrow. She was off Friday.

(4,441 posts)won zero dollars. No complaints here, I've won more than I've lost when it comes to gambling.

(43,049 posts)some people seem to be saying they spent one dollar.
MegaMillions and most other games are still a buck a play, Powerball is two bucks a play (that's how they get the jackpots so high so fast). I can't imagine different states having different play amounts, so what's going on here?

(120 posts)I won diddly, though I am ahead for the year (as I won a second chance drawing earlier in the year).
On the state lotto though, I spent $5 on a ticket and won nine free tickets in a row (each off the previous free ticket). While ultimately I got no money, it was a fun run of free tickets.

So I don't know if that counts as "spent $4 won $4" or "spent $2 won $4".

I never buy just a Powerball. I think the scratch offs are fun. That's what won.

(36,827 posts)The only time I've ever bought a lottery ticket was one time before Texas got the powerball. One of my co-workers talked me into getting into the pool and I did mostly to shut them up. The plan was for one of the guy's son to buy the tickets because he lived in a state that had powerball. It turns out his son was an alcoholic and went on a 3 day bender with our money. That's been my luck with the lottery.
