What are the odds of the President being impeached...?

...and convicted after the next election?

Probably the only thing that could prevent it would be a Democratic Majority in either the House or the Senate? If the Repubs have a majority in both branches of Congress, what's to stop them??

Obama is much more popular than they are.

Also, need 2/3 for removal in the Senate. And then Joe Biden would be president.

Unless they can actually find a high crime or misdemeanor other than being a black Democrat, about zero.

Oh, they might try. It will blow up in their piggy faces the way it did when they tried it with the last Democratic president. People couldn't wait to get rid of the House Managers that started that fight.

Maybe the next one will pave the way to treating the GOP as what it has become: an interstate racketeering organization bent on illegally seizing government and then destroying it.

... better odds that the Repuglicans would be stupid enough to try.

Frankly, if a 'serious' impeachment resolution were introduced in the the House before or after the 2014 elections, my prediction would be that the consequences would so devastating to them that the Repuglican Party as a major political organization in this nation would cease to exist.

Not gonna happen, unless of course he actually does something illegal. Which is pretty unlikely. I disagreed with Clinton's impeachment, but he actually did get a blow job and then evaded the questions about it. I won't say he lied because technically he didn't, but in the end he still looked bad.

A meaningless impeachment like they pulled on Clinton is a PR disaster.

The Republicans want ONE thing. They want to embarrass and ridicule the POTUS.
They want his administration to be judged a failure.

They will press forward on every little thing to make him look like NIXON x100.

Their end goal is to hang "Worst POTUS Ever" sign on his presidency.

The president would have to have committed a crime in order to be impeached. What would be the crime?
