http://jimromenesko.com/2013/05/22/st-louis-tv-station-fires-anchor-who-claimed-he-was-targeted-by-irs/KMOV-TV president Mark Pimentel says dismissed anchorman Larry Conners is certainly entitled to his opinion, but taking a personal political position on one of the Stations Facebook pages creates an appearance of bias that is inconsistent with important journalistic standards.
Conners was taken off the air last week after claiming on Facebook that the IRS started hammering me after he asked President Obama some hard questions during an interview. Conners later admitted that his dealings with the IRS began years earlier.

KMOV reporter Larry Conners had told Obama that some of the station's viewers "are complaining, they get frustrated, even angered, when they see the first family jetting around, different vacations and so forth, sometimes maybe, they think, under color of state business and that you're out of touch, that you don't really know what they're experiencing right now."

Okay, that's hyperbole. But he was reading the news when I was a child. I suspect he should have retired long ago.

Actually, he looks more like a full loaf than a mere specimen.

Met him once years ago when I was at the station during a friends interview. I understand from reading a previous article on his "situation" that he had some outstanding irregularities in his finances which may have been the actual cause of things.

Couldn't have happened to a bigger D-Bag.
His wingnut leanings have been obvious for decades.

(20,899 posts)7. Bet Larry Conners was all up in the air over junior's incessant trips to the ranch, numerous trips
to Maine, and an inordinate number of trips to raise money. Gee, bet Larry gave junior un-shirted hell over those trips.
