I had a girlfriend tell me just a couple of days ago when talking about her miscarriage, "I just figured, 'hell, I'm miscarrying,' and put a pad on and went to work." Another girlfriend in college miscarried in the toilet at work, and then went back to work. It happens.

Are they going to start tracking when men discharge semen in a non-reproductive setting as well, and send them to jail if they don't report it? 'Cause every sperm is sacred and all that...

Obenshain is a jerk, no doubt. But to say "Virginia wants to track miscarriages" because he proposed something stupid four years ago and it went nowhere is just a baseless, stupid slam against a state that has two Democratic Senators, voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012, and has a 50/50 split in the state senate.

And yes Obenshain was nominated to be the repub nominee for Attorney General. By a repub convention attended by a grand total of 8000 delegates. And yes, his introduction of this bill should be used against him in the general election. But its simply not true that "Virginia wants" his bill to become law.

I'm curious what state you are from. I bet I could find a stupid bill that was introduced by someone in your state that went nowhere and then could mislabel your state as well.
