Colorado Governor Hickenlooper delays execution of ChuckECheese killer and is derided by Repubs...

<snip>
DENVER (AP) — Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper has indefinitely delayed the execution of convicted killer Nathan Dunlap, saying he is unlikely to allow it as long as he is governor.

Hickenlooper stopped short of converting the death sentence to life in prison, as Dunlap's lawyers had requested.

Republicans derided his decision as no decision at all, with Attorney General John Suthers saying the reprieve guaranteed "continued suffering and delayed justice" for families of Dunlap's victims.

The Democratic governor says he has doubts about the fairness of Colorado's death penalty system and about the state's ability to get the lethal drugs required for an execution.

Not surprising that the Republicans are riding his ass on this one.

As long as the Governorship remains a (D), I think Mr. Dunlap can die of natural causes sitting on death row.

They call themselves "pro life" but actively cheer on executions.

They deny climate change, and say the earth is 6,000 years old, then publish a book saying we're the anti science party.

And Jesus wept, I believe is the next verse.
