A "conservative" friend of mine thought to call me this morning re Benghazi

He was gloating how the White House gave stand down orders and president Obama is going to be impeached and blah blah. I of course said he should not take FoxPAC and Rush Limbaugh so seriously. He told me to Google so I did.

Guess what I found? FoxPAC and over the top right wing blogs.

Is it my imagination or are these people getting even crazier and stupider?

If you do a search - no matter what search engine - about anything political these days, you'll find that the first five to ten pages are full of RightwingWooWoo sites, with a progressive site tucked in here and there, but barely visible.

Corporate America is paying big bucks to keep those sites up front since they're betting on the laziness of the American people to not search past the first ten pages on any search engine. I've noticed this buying up prime real estate of online search engine pages some four years ago as I was debating RightwingTeaBaggers, but it's gotten really bad now.

AltaVista was once a good engine, then Yahoo bought them out. Tumblr was a good source, now Yahoo bought it out. You have to be very specific to get anything factual about Democrats or Obama, as all you will get for pages is right wing tripe.

Democratic Underground comes up in searches to even things out a bit. Eventually, DU may be the only liberal source of news and photos online, along with Kos and a few others. But we will get less progressive news pieces, since the Koch brothers are continuning to shut down all progressive voices and install their monologue in all forms of media.

There are no alternatives being presented, and most of what one could Google for real news and scientific reports in the past is now not showing up. Even a search for scriptures or classic quotes are conservative ones only.

The Idiocracy is closing in on us.

You are right about a lot of "conservatives" to be sure, but this one is okay. The fact that he too is going over the edge though is an indication to me that they're further than I thought.

Usually their stridency or overall tone indicate that they believe they are one of a besieged informed few who are desperately trying to inform the masses of info that will surely turn them to their side; Info that the "librul" media are trying to sweep under the rug. The email forwards are the worst as they have a raving, almost calamitous tone: "You won't see this on the news!" ( except fox news ) "Watch this video before the government removes it!" Blah blah blah.

Wait a while and give him a call and ask him if his predictions about Obama being impeached actually happened. It will be a great opportunity for him to admit he was full of shit when he said that.

Anyone gather in this Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin? Apparently FoxPAC has. He's going around saying that President Obama wanted Ambassador Stevens dead because of some covert gun running operation.

Or is it Hillary? After all doesn't she have experience rubbing out Vince Foster?
