Colonization,by the rich never stops, they are setting up a new quasi religious feudal state. It's all there, the slavery comments, the land grabs the hatred of the poor the white wealthy people talking about owning people...who can't afford to 'feed themselves'.Here a woman gets evicted, her house sold to an "investor" read rich pig, over a late WATER BILL..If these pigs can take an OWNED home over a late water bill..it's time to stand up and refuse to go along with this tyranny these right wing christa-nazi thugs want to lord over all of us.The rich pigs in America are grabbing land in America,Africa everywhere they can get away with taking it.
It's past time to eat the rich people,They MUST be stopped and their wealth liquidated into commons. We will be screwed one by one unless we stop them while we can.The right wing pieces of shit talk openly about their desires to own the poor people, confiscate land, homes anything they can grab from middle class working class and poor alike. Fuck the rich,And fuck the corporations every last one! We do not need corporations or rich assholes to have a society,we don't need their money.
This article isn't new, but put 2+2 together...and wake the fuck up. What are we gonna do about these greedy psychopaths? They are criminals, abusers, scumbags. They are treasonous. EVIL.

One raw day in early February, Vicki Valentine stood by helplessly as real estate investors snatched her West Baltimore home over what began with an unpaid city water bill of $362.
As snow threatened to fall, she watched a work crew hired by the new owners punch out the lock on her front door. A sheriff's deputy was on the scene while Valentine and her teenage son piled whatever they could into a borrowed car.
Running out of time, Valentine scrambled to pack up clothing and mementos. The home had been her family's for nearly three decades, and her father had paid off the mortgage in 1984. "It's hard to say goodbye to this house," she said. "It's like someone forcing you out of something that belongs to you. I don't get it."
Valentine lost the two-story brick row home after the city sold her debt to investors through a contentious and byzantine legal process called a "tax sale." This little-known type of foreclosure can enrich investors as growing numbers of property owners struggle to pay their bills.

(529 posts)everyone who was getting screwed over like this decided that they had finally had enough? No one left their homes unwillingly, ppl who had to put up with near slave wages didn't go to work, we all stood up and demanded health care and better education. That'd be great, but we would have to do it altogether, all at once. The whole world over.
Of course we'd have to convince other poor/ middle/working class ppl that the rich are not their friends and that the whole game is rigged against them. Thankfully, I've gotten most of my friends to wake up, but some of them feel so powerless and beaten down that they see no point in voting. I can totally sympathize with that feeling, but we've got to keep showing up to the polls and voting for who ever our best option is, no matter how hard the other side tries to stop us and even if we only agree with that candidate's views half the time (still better than 0%). After Mitt's 47% comment, the voter I.d. Laws, no prison time for any Wall Street big wigs, the war on women and birth control, the racist remarks about Obama, I just cannot believe anyone who works for a living, or is poor, or isn't a rich, straight, upper class, white, preferably "Christian" (and I use that term very loosely, didn't that Christ guy say something about how it was easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye then for a rich person to get into heaven?) male still votes republican. I realize both parties depend on the 1% for funding, and I really wish we had a real liberal party, but we've got to start somewhere.

(114,904 posts)and something has to be done to stop shit like this, and the city officials who enter into this kind of crap are every bit as guilty- or even more so- than the investors buying up the debt.
