Questions I have not heard answered re: the IRS "scandal"

1 - What percentage of the groups applying for 501c(4) status were conservative / tea party groups vs. all other groups applying for that status?
2 - What percentage of the groups applying for 501c(4) status were conservative / tea party groups vs. liberal political groups applying for that status?
3 - What percentage of the queries were about conservative / tea party groups, vs. queries about all others?
4 - What percentage of the queries were about conservative / tea party groups, vs. queries about liberal political groups?

Unless we know the answers to these questions, we have no idea if tea party groups were improperly targeted at all, or if it was just one of many targets.

They'd prove that the IRS wasn't in the wrong here. It sure would be nice to see though, granted the IRS is an agency everyone loves to hate, but in the 501c (4) groups, I think they all deserve extra scrutiny to make sure they're not primarily political.

based on my recollection of a bunch of radio programs and online articles

1 - I think it was the majority during the period in question. In other words, a coordinated flood of activity.

2 - I think that was something like 3-to-1

3 - Don't know, but I'd expect almost all the questions to go to these political groups because politicking is not allowed under 501(c)(4)

4 - I have heard it was the same procedure for all the political groups, so I'd expect roughly the same ratio, i.e. 3:1
