Gov. Scott's efforts to raid out-of-state jobs ticks off other governors

Governor Voldemort does it again! The worst governor ever is an embarrassment. This latest mess has caused most folks in the state to rate him even lower. We really, really need to get rid of this guy. He following ALEC and sending letters to businesses in other states criticizing the business climate elsewhere. Too bad he bragged about the weather on the weekend that the first named storm crossed Florida. While he cuts millions out of the schools and refuses medicaid and scraps high-speed rail, he gives away tax breaks to any of his GOP friends every chance he gets. If you haven't seen Scott in person, you have missed some entertainment. He constantly makes things up, gets things wrong, and acts superior to everyone else...takes lessons from the Romney school of public speaking most likely.

TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Rick Scott's latest tactic to attract jobs is to brag about Florida as much as possible while criticizing other states — whose governors don't appreciate it one bit.
-snip--
Scott's pitch is aimed at five states, including California, Illinois, Maryland and Minnesota, and they weren't chosen by accident. All five have Democratic governors.

Scott, who's seeking re-election next year and battling an unpopular image with Florida voters, would make powerful enemies if he tried to raid jobs from states run by fellow Republicans.

It seems Scott's background as a corporate CEO has not translated well into his being Governor. We Floridians can vote, unlike his underlings at HCA, and some (few) of us actually do vote.

The real issue here is whether the Florida Democratic Party can field and back a candidate able to beat Scott. Who will that person be? Charlie Crist? Alex Sink in a rematch? Also, will the Democrats do better at turning out the vote this time around? I understand that Scott's 2010 victory came largely because of poor Democratic voter turn out in Miami-Dade County. We cannot afford another mistake like that.

Also, will the Florida GOP back Scott -- or some challenger -- in a primary challenge?

Florida DUers (and others) -- what are your thoughts?

in Pinellas, we've had pretty good participation. I can't understand why so many people complain, but sit home and don't vote. The FDP has been pretty ineffective at fielding candidates - and whether I like it or not - the likely best possible winner for the next election would be Crist. If he runs he will probably win. If the Democratic vote had not been split, Crist would have won a Senate seat instead of Rubio.

The state voted in favor of high-speed rail, and lots of folks on the I4 corridor are pretty pissed that Scott vetoed it. I think the Florida GOP will back Scott.

Scott spend 70 million of his own money on the election. We were swamped with ads of his mother says he was a nice boy and similar things for months. Sink was a no name for most people here. Very little exposure. Since her husband died, she probably won't run.
