NFL to limit bags brought into stadiums

With the exception of medically necessary items, only clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches will be allowed. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags also will be OK, as will small clear plastic bags approximately the size of someone's hand, with or without a handle or strap.

One of those clear bags and a small clutch bag will be allowed per person.
Binoculars, cameras, and smartphones also will be permitted.

Banned items will include purses larger than a clutch bag; coolers; briefcases; backpacks; fanny packs; cinch bags; seat cushions; luggage; computer bags; and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Y'all have fun, now!

Oh, and if Homeland Security says they are going to have a drill at a stadium game, I would stay the hell away.

No fannie packs???????

Of course, no coolers or backpacks means you will be forced to pay stadium prices for a drink or food...
very clever.

I am waiting for the day they try to limit what you can carry in a car.

2. I never understood why some people felt it necessary to bring all their personal belongings to games

Sure, this seems like just more pointless restrictions, but what do people really need to bring with them in order to watch a 3 hour game? A sleeping bag, Snuggie, earplugs, and blindfolds if they are going to a Jaguars game I guess, but they other 31 organizations do at least try to put an entertaining product on the field.

I bring in a couple of small sealed water bottles and healthy snacks like veggies and hummus and my own sandwiches so that my friends/family and I don't have to eat the fried, over-salted and horribly unappetizing food shoved out by Aramark or CenterPlate. Guess each of us will carry our own gallon ziplock bags with our food so we don't hurt your or rodger goodell's feelings.

3. God forbid. it would be a massive tragedy if someone targeted a football stadium

Of course, all you have to do is set off a flash bang inside. This doesn't require a large bag to get it past security. you set off the bangs, they evacuate the stadium, the fans are forced into the danger zone...outside the stadium. it doesn't take a genius, hell, look at the people who've been successful so far...

We are not going to prevent these terrible acts. Hopefully we can mitigate the damage and loss. The "be very afraid movement is making me sick."

It is almost as bad as: "The ONLY thing to stop a bad guy with a gun is a GOOD guy with a gun."
Try to sell that hand-job logic to the NFL.

for parking lot events. Can't wait to see ol' buzzkill rodger try to shut down tailgating for passionate cooking fans at any of the sites. Hell, we deep fried turkeys in the parking lot when the Broncos played on Thanksgiving night. No crazy fires, injuries or loss of life then.

This crackdown is pure BS and once fans have had enough, ol' buzzkill rodger will see that he's killed the golden goose of the NFL fan base.
