The drawing of the strawberries on foil and the acrylic paint tubes on mirror just blow my mind.

Also, the mirror-balls reflecting the house in the distance is just awesome!

What's going here is more accurately termed extreme optical illusionism.

The belief that the prime purpose, first and foremost, of a painting was to always accurately reproduce the shared experience if the optical field began to take hold in Western art 500 years ago. The revolution claiming it as not only not the prime function of painting, but only one concern of many, and honestly having never really been true, occurred about 100+ yard ago.

In addition, most of these works are reproductions of photographs, more accurately termed photorealism or photo illussionistic painting.

I could paint like most of these folks, (the better ones), but the reason I quit doing it is because I got bored with it.
