Plane carrying George W. Bush diverted after smell of smoke

(CNN) -- A plane carrying former President George W. Bush was diverted to Louisville on Saturday night after the pilot reported the smell of smoke.

The Gulfstream IV aircraft was traveling from Philadelphia International to Dallas Love Field airports when the pilot reported the smell of smoke in the cockpit, said Holly Baker, spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration.

She said the plane landed safely in Louisville, Kentucky.

Spontaneous combustion.

One guy bursts into flames and everyone else escapes harm.

Hey, I suppose it could happen if he were wearing eyeglasses and sitting next to the window with the sunshine streaming in...

Hating Bush so much that you wish for the deaths of many other innocent people (pilot, copilot, flight attendants and so on) is certainly "bad".

Also, remember that Bush is still under Secret Service protection. I'm not sure how they would react to people posting online to express the wish that his plane be bombed.

Seriously, I'm glad they landed safely. I don't wish the untimely death of any former president, even one as bad as Bush Jr.
