How many have to die?

Probably an unpopular subject, but this is about driving and texting or talking on the phone. It's stupid! It distracts the driver from performing his or her duties of driving safely. I believe all cars should have a device that jams cell phone signals while the ignition is on. That alone would save thousands of lives a year.
How many times have you seen a driver doing something stupid only to find they are talking on the damned phone? Operating a vehicle is NOT the place to make or receive phone calls or texts. You can always pull over, turn off the ignition, and make your call or text.
Anyone caught talking or texting while driving should lose their license and have their phone confiscated. Harsh? Ask any parent who has lost a child or loved one from a distracted driver. This isn't a civil liberty, it is a very dangerous practice by some very irresponsible people. I have zero sympathy for anyone who has an accident while using a damned cell phone. This will have to be addressed, hopefully sooner than later.
