For all of those who think that CNET story must have been true

and that Nadler's walkback is dishonest and due to pressure from the White House, I have two words:

Declan McCullagh. That's the author of that CNET story.

I have three more words for you:

Al gore Internet.

Yes, the infallible Mr. McCullagh is the chap who started the whole myth that Al Gore claimed to have invented the Internet.

Scandal and rumor of scandal will abound. Truth is of no importance as long as something is perceived as truth and gains traction.
It's going to be a long year.
