When it comes to geography, Texas Gov. Rick Perry may want to buy a world map. The former presidential candidate had a slip of the tongue while speaking about Benghazi at the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Gov. Perry was one of the speakers at the three-day conference that also included speeches from Sarah Palin and Jeb Bush (not to mention Texas Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz). On Saturday, the Texas governor voiced his concerns about the Obama administration and how they handled the attack at the American embassy, but he referenced the wrong country.

While the attack occurred in Libya, the governor mistakenly said Lebanon.

“I fear where we’ve come to in America, where our administration won’t make one phone call to save our men and women in an embassy in Lebanon, but they’ll sure monitor phone calls of 121 million American with a secret judicial order. That bothers me.”

Perry goes on with his speech, seemingly unaware of the slip-up. In closing, the governor tells the crowd to smile when they disagree with a liberal, and then quotes a former president, “Shake your head as Ronald Reagan once said, he said you know, liberals know so much that isn’t so.”
