“Men’s Rights Activist” Busted for Beating the S*** out of a Prostitute

http://bluntandcranky.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/mens-rights-activist-busted-for-beating-the-s-out-of-a-prostitute/

Snip:
There is no need for a “men’s rights” anything. We males own most of the world’s wealth, control most of its governments, and are in charge of nearly all of its law-enforcement. Really, who is oppressing us? Answer: no-f***ing-body is oppressing us.

The only people who think we need such a “movement” are pathetic, useless, violent, stupid, hateful, misogynistic people who can’t even be called “motherf***ers”, because no woman in the world would willingly f*** them."

"I am a woman beater" for a month or two. He can't take it off or cover it up. If he doesn't go out then the courts can make him go out to the busiest street where there is lot of traffic going by for at least the rush hours in the morning and afternoons. That would cure him of beating women.

It is funny to hear them cry about how hard it is to be a man... Can you believe they are not even allowed to be vile and nasty towards women? I got called for Jury a while back, the post is here (hidden, of course):

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=2892193

A simply vile post for no other reason then to put down women. The Jury results were as follows:

At Thu May 23, 2013, 04:58 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

Probably because their sons and husbands have committed suicide. n/t
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=2892193

REASON FOR ALERT:

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. (See Community Standards.)

ALERTER'S COMMENTS:

Don't even know what to say. That is a really low thing to say, especially just to score some cheap political point. I don't even know what point he's making I just reacted to how cruel and crass it is.

JURY RESULTS

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu May 23, 2013, 05:04 PM, and the Jury voted 4-2 to HIDE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT and said: This is simply vile and should be a pizza. Hide. Ohio Joe
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT and said: What a horrible, not to mention sexist, thing to say.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT and said: Over the top, and probably a trigger for those who've lost someone to suicide. Think about it a little longer next time, Jeff.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I can't say I'm surprised this no-brainer had two people vote to leave it... At least the right verdict won out. I had thought that would be the end but the poor baby needed to demand justification for my vote...

"a) thank you for putting your name to your vote.

b) Will you please paraphrase for me the point you think I was making for which you think I deserve a pizza.

Four times as many men commit suicide than women. It is reasonable to suggest that those human beings actually might have been depressed, and it is also reasonable to suggest that their survivors are more likely seek treatment for the depression they suffer as a result.

The goddamn man hate here is toxic, and the white knight, self-loathing variety is the worst."

What a poor, poor baby... Soooo misunderstood. See... Anyone that does not agree with him that it is fine to be abusive to women is a self-loathing white knight... No, really.

I've signed my name on over 200 Juries since DU3 opened and received a number of notes regrading my comments. This is the only one I've received that tried to convince me their stupid was justified, and that I as the juror was the problem. He only got mad when I refused to play his game... I laughed

When I received that DU Mail, I replied with:

"Play your asshole games with someone else, I am un-interested in them."

heh, that encouraged him to get extra manly and hit me with:

"Coward. Typical."

bwahahahahahahahaha.... Simply priceless So.... I ended it with:

"waaaahhhh, I'm too stupid to know why I'm being an asshole, help me! Then when I try to understand by accusing people of being 'self-loathing white knights' they don't want to play, waaaaaaaah!

Piss off douche."

Like fundies and teabaggers, they will say and do anything to show how oppressed they are. It's pretty fucked up.

In a thread about the frequency of mental illness among women, including depression, I said that suicide among men and boys is epidemic and that it stands to reason that this may be a factor in depression among the women they left behind.

That's what I said, and I stand behind it.

By the way, posting PMs doesn't make me think any less of you.

They are only capable of drawing the worst conclusion in specific circumstances.

Anyone who dares to express an opinon on any subject that's of interest to men is equated to a prostitute beater complete with a cheering section egging them on, but linking to a site that celebrates the idea of male gendercide, meh.

I've reread it several times, and I have no clue what the alerter thought (s)he was reading. Nor do I know what the jurors who voted to hide with words like "vile" "horrible" "sexist" and "pizza" were thinking.

When I asked Ohio Joe by PM what he objected to, as well as providing an explanation of what I meant, he refused to answer.

Suicide of men and boys (4.3 times more common than women and girls) is undoubtedly a root cause of depression among some women. Maybe that is a good enough reason to raise consciousness about it.

Like I said, this incident doesn't make me think any less of Ohio Joe than I ever did.

Women being affected negatively by the suicide rate of loved ones who are male.

Just a bizarre hide. Maybe the alerter just read it/took it the wrong way (maybe), but for a jury to follow up and also read into it....strange.

But I think that some benefit of the doubt is incumbent on juries, or at least clearly understanding a post should be required before alerting.

... and certainly before boasting in the jurors comments that the poster should be banned, even if the juror didn't know that the hell he was voting on.

My admitted lack of precision and clarity was used as an excuse to alert and hide something which should have been uncontroversial, had anyone tried understand the post in question (which I still feel one would have to work hard to misinterpret). It's my only hidden post on my transparency page, but I work hard to color inside the lines and so I take these things personally; one is too many.

I get accused of being pedantic in my posts, but when I relax this is what happens.

This experience supports the basis of my PM'ed complaints to Ohio Joe that he posted upthread. I consider reposting PM's to be base, craven and spineless, as well as a complete non-sequitur in the context of this thread. But every person rolls their own way, I suppose.

Accusing by name, 10 year DU'ers, who aren't even participating in the thread, of being the kind of person who beats up prostitutes is really beyond the pale, and should be high on the list of offenses that make DU suck.

But the jury, if there was one, apparently disagreed.

What's worse is when the post it in their safe haven, juries allow virtually anything to stand. I will probably never forget the one referring to the behavior of "95% of women under 35" as "disgusting."

That was... absurdly depressing comedy gold.

"The goddamn man hate here is toxic..." reminds me of the Roman Emperor Decius's infamous statement, "why do these Christians hate me so much?"

Decius was blind to irony, blind to his faults, blind to the obvious, Blind to all but the indictments placed on him by the very people he oppressed.

Funny in its irony, yes. But depressing in what it accurately illustrates in far too many people.

The average male faces unemployment, underemployment, toxic work environments, and an increasingly intrusive security state.

Of course, the average female does as well.

A minority of those oppressed males have been convinced that it's not other men who have made it to the top of the heap who are squeezing the jobs out of the economy, but that it's those damn women and minorities taking up all the jobs that should rightfully be theirs.

For the 1%-ers, it's a two-fer. You get that group of men off your back, and you get them attacking the other victims of your oppression.
