Oh that's different!
It's painfully obvious Breitbart died of a heart attack, he was overweight, and drank to excess.
Some right-wingers (I saw some at Free Republic saying this,) are still *ABSOLUTELY SURE* that "the liberals" (Obama no doubt,) killed Breitbart and made it look like a heart attack.
So is it really that far-fetched for Michael Hastings to have been driving too fast and plowed into a tree?
Or are we going to start believing in Alex Jones' bullshit?

(14,400 posts)by anybody. Brietbart was autopsied and the coroners report filed.
I'm sure they're doing the same thing to Hastings because it was a car accident. The ME will want an autopsy and full tox screen.

(32,077 posts)He had 0.04% alcohol level in this blood and an enlarged heart. The coroner said he was a "light drinker".

"Stop raping people!"
He was blotto.
Now that by itself usually isn't enough to cause a massive heart attack.
But it can contribute to a heart attack.
It was the Freepers (and other right-wingers) who immediately jumped on the "The liberals had Bretibart killed."
(Hey, they still are sure of the "Clinton Body Count."
Yet here *WE* are, immediately jumping on the " Fill in the blank) had Michael Hastings murdered," just like Alex Jones has jumped on immediately.

(32,077 posts)He is a Dr. who would know what the internal organs of a heavy drinker looks like. You have provided no links, just your assertions to "multiple sources" who you don't link to. I haven't the faintest idea if Breitbart was a heavy drinker or not. But I will trust the report of a professional who did actually do an investigation rather than internet rumors. I have known a lot of heavy drinkers in my life and they rarely die as early as Breitbart.

(32,077 posts)I provided a link in post #10 to the report. As I said I didn't know Breitbart personally, as you did, so I have no idea what his habits were. That is why I go by facts as given by a professional. Others may not be interested in that.

(14,400 posts)Perhaps you can wait until the one that is being done in this case is complete before buying out the tinfoil aisle at your local supermarket.
Claiming that this case is different medico-legally from Brietbart should probably wait until the autopsy.

(62,325 posts)Hastings otoh, told the truth wherever he found it and was not influenced by money or ideology. He just reported the facts, a very big threat to those who have something to hide. Someone who could not be bribed or reigned in.
