So how do we fix it?

Yes I know the world sucks, the government sucks, hell, it all really sucks! What I have not heard from anyone is a solution, just complaints. I am as mad as anyone about the gov't checking in on my surfing habits. I am madder about a gov't that wants to punish the poor and chooses to ignore Keynesian solutions because, you know, popularity.

So how do we fix it? And if you say we should "wake the people up" you better tell me specifically how because I have heard that more times than I care for and I have yet to see that result in anything more than a drum circle. And...if you think you have the solution, implement it and let us know how that works out. Otherwise, it's just complaining.

Forty years ago i thought there were never going to be ways to address problems our civilization(s) had but since then time has changed my view. It won't be if we have the answers but how much friction it will take to get there

Don't buy stuff. Flame every corporate whore. Change banks. Check the labels. Ignore television. Elect the leftiest.

FIGHTING THEM FEEDS THEM.

Starve them.

Intention spent. If they can change the direction of the energy they can control the story.

It comes down to things as simple as changing the subject or re-signifying isolated aspects of an issue. Renaming. Perpetual assertion. Presenting themselves as un-defeatable.

Energy spent on trying to change them helps them to practice not being changed.

Energy not spent on them is energy that they can't redirect.

I just felt my brain flipping around, but you're absolutely correct. They've tapped into basic psychology that people have a hard time breaking, and use it to manipulate the hell out of them. This shit is not part of my nature, but I'm beginning to understand.

Works in other countries. Make it illegal for them to park their fortunes in the Caymans. They got rich from *your* labor using the infrastructure that *your* taxes paid for. It's time they truly paid their fair share, starting with removing the FICA cap.

Pragmatism and pandering to corporations is why we are in the mess we are in today.

That is now change could happen in theory.

Now in reality it will take a second American Revolution but most lack the will to do it.

Slavery and Compliance is easier for most so they choose that instead.

Until people are willing to stand and risk it all we will live in a American Fascist Police State.
