for so many that came after him--the Limbaughs and other hate-mongers of the world.

What is possibly worse, is that it appears it was all "an act" and he may not have been the ideologue that he professed.

I remember being an avid watcher of that show as a teenager. Which is odd because even then I was a complete bleeding heart liberal. I didn't view it as a political thing like today's shows are. I viewed it more as I did the Jerry Springer show, which is just a total circus on television.

I will watch it, because I lived thru it. But any diss of the Rev will be met with skepticism.

Called someone a faggot, on TV, shouting faggot punk. I remember it and it is on tape. Al would not support you doubting this, he is aware of this past errors and while he'd rather everyone forget them he himself does not deny that he was a raging bigot in many ways and is still a man making amends and redemption.
Just saying. He was very wrong.
