A story about mom and President Obama
I lost mom last August. Her last few years her critical thinking was not what it used to be. A quick anecdote I haven't shared about her on the DU before. A few years before her death, she had a disagreement right before the Nov. 2010 mid term elections. Somebody she knew made a less than nice comment about the President because of his race. Mom's reply was "He isn't black. He is Hawaiian!" Seems she forgot what I wish many other American's could forget. We would be a better country if that happened.
