You can't sell obvious, open insanity. The corporate rulers of the Republican Party get it.
But their hordes of peasants in the hinterlands, currently casting votes, are totally clueless. Their ignorance, biases, hatreds, and fears are crushing their primary candidates (who deserve to be crushed). And this is something we should all be cheering about.
However, before we cheer too loudly, lets keep in mind that the guys at the top dont give up so easily. They have the money, power and clout to force an open Republican convention. (That means the convention gets to hand-pick a Republican presidential candidate.)
But no matter. This primary season has revealed the man behind the curtain who represents the core of the sickness that is the Republican Party.
Anything can happen in the Nov. election, especially given the Republicans talent for stealing elections.
But, maybe, just maybe, this campaign season has led enough people to see the light.

(2,888 posts)is the nominee the loss will be one of the biggest ever and hopefully will once and for all destroy the repuke party.
We will take back the house and even hopefully elect some solidly progressive senators.
Or at the least ones that will see that the true majority have spoken and will act accordingly.
The right wing noise machine needs to be voted into silence so the people can be heard.

(785 posts)the Republican candidates are merely millionaire mouth-pieces for their Billionaire contributors/investors. They pander to the fears and insecurities of their low-information voters while offering no plans that will benefit the Country as a whole. I rather hope the Republican Convention does get brokered as this will clearly reveal where the real power in Republican politics lies...money and lies.
