"Think back a wee bit:
In 2008, massive and enthusiastic participation by the Left, Progressives and Centrists: Right Winguts got their asses beat like drums.
In 2010, massive and enthusiastic participation by the Right Wingnuts; Lefties, Progressives and Centrists got their asses beat like drums.
In 2012, massive and enthusiastic participation by the Left, Progressives and Centrists: Right Wingnuts got their asses beat like drums.
See a pattern here, people?"

Get off your high horse, OP.

(13,986 posts)The fact is, lots of Dem voters sat it out in 2010. In Ohio and across the country. And NOW they bitch? Christ in a teapot.
No, women do NOT deserve to be treated like this. The poor do NOT deserve to be treated like this. Unions do NOT deserve to be treated like this. The middle class do NOT deserve to be treated like this. And so on.
But blaming it on some fickle 5% is a cop out, and damned if I'll stand idly by while the Left, Progressives and Leftish Centrists who either sat out 2010 or slacked off in their activism pretend that they bear no responsibility. That is cowardly claptrap.
I would dearly love for every one of those who fit the description above be made to stand in a Planned parenthood clinic when it is shut down and try to claim that it isn't their fault as more women die of cancer or have unplanned pregnancies.
Those of us who DID bust our asses in 2010 are sick and tired of the fair-weather voters blithely acting as though their actions are somehow decoupled from the election results. It's time to call them out, the lazy, irresponsible swine.

(524 posts)It looks to me when you say "Tough Shit, Ohio," the condemnation is not specific.
You know what the difference between a lot of liberal "utopia" states and NC is?
Around 5%.
But if othering everyone in an entire goddamn US state makes you feel better about life, please, don't let me interrupt.

(13,986 posts)But ya know, if they're too lazy to read past a headline, then they might also be too lazy to have done f***-all in 2010, too.

(13,986 posts)It's a purple state that lazy voters allowed to turn Red. Time to turn it back to Blue.

I DO NOT deserve what is happening in my state.
