(8,830 posts)is suspect. "The only thing you need to know" is the key phrase in that cartoon graphic - and it should be the phrase that convinces people to look for more information.
Young people should learn that lesson first.

(1,151 posts)They will have to pay for insurance or pay a penalty. Seems to me like that ACA affects them. Their premiums will rise for $0 to the cost of insurance or the penalty.
And I don't think the 48% are necessarily unaffected. Employers may decide the exchanges look pretty good so they'll pay the penalty and let employees move to the exchanges - many have already decided this. Employers may decide to drop more employees to 29 hours. If premiums go up and employers don't cover 100%, employees will be paying more. We don't know how the ACA will affect premiums. People on both sides claim to know but we will never be able to say for certain either way. But, the Dems did claim this would decrease premiums (though they deny it now) so the GOP will be able to use any premium increase against them.
