Considering Snowden Has Highlighted Spying By the US, Germany, France, Britain, Australia

New Zealand and Canada so far…. maybe, just MAYBE it isn't just the pols and surveillance industry parasites within the USA who want him to shut the fuck up.

I'd say I'm starting to appreciate Snowden but it's a crying shame he is only casting a light on countries who are stable democracies and relatively open societies.

Please try to not do that. This is how discussions become a clusterfuck. I'll admit I'm guilty of it as are many DUers, but I'm trying to be more civil and you should too.

Sometimes we even cast light so bright it shows things that aren't even there.

That happened in 2003.

It didn't make for a more open society in Iraq.

It calls into question how open they are.

And it isn't even being relegated to the dungeon. These are the important questions of our time. It's sad that it took someone like Snowden to get the debate started.

But I think the whole affair will fizzle out and DU won't be reliving these discussions until president select Jeb forces them on us.
