Isn’t it funny, Truthseekers, that the whistle-blowers always end up hiding from the governments that were supposed to protect them? At the risk of sounding juvenile, why are the truth-tellers forced to flee the land of the free in order to speak the truth?



Not matter how many times it rolls around in my brain, it seems an abomination. that thouse who would see honest and open government end up enemies of the State. Just like women who seek to protect the privacy of their own bodies end up targets of (mostly while male) assaults against their own bodily privacy.



Two different topic, granted, but they share a common theme – the right of the individual to proclaim sanctity over their own person hood. The individual right to operate as a separate human being, immune from government control over our actions.

Edward Snowden discovered secrets about our government’s covert actions against it’s own citizenry, and exposing this knowledge could cost him his life. A woman in Texas seeing to terminate a pregnancy (due to rape? Her own inability to care for the child? incest?) is threatened with criminal action and/or invasive medical procedures/psychological intimidation if she moves forward with her decision to make her body stop being pregnant.

Where are we living, Truthseekers, when individual rights are so superseded by the decisions of our governments? Is it fair to call it fascism when whistle-blowers who seek to expose the actions our government is taking against us are hunted like criminals? Is it not fascism when women are treated like criminals if they seek to carry out their constitutional privacy rights over their own biological functions?

Katie Helm wrote this poem, which Mike read n the air last night. Think about it: If My Vagina Were a Gun:

If my vagina was a gun, you would stand for its rights,

You would ride on buses and fight all the fights.

If my vagina was a gun, you would treat it with care,

You wouldn’t spill all its secrets because, well, why go there.

If my vagina was a gun, you’d say what it holds is private

From cold dead hands we could pry, you surely would riot.

If my vagina was a gun, its rights would all be protected,

no matter the body count or the children affected.

If my vagina was a gun, I could bypass security,

concealed carry laws would ensure I’d have impunity.

If my vagina was a gun, I wouldn’t have to beg you,

I could hunt this great land and do all the things men do.

But my vagina is not a gun, it is a mightier thing,

With a voice that rings true making lawmakers’ ears ring.

Vaginas are not delicate, they are muscular and magic,

So stop messing with mine, with legislation that’s tragic.

My vagina’s here to demand from the source,

Listen to the voices of thousands or feel their full force.

Enough said, Katie. The same could be said, truthfully, about whistle-blowers. If these individuals were given the same rights as guns, this would be a non-discussion.
