Did the prosecution ever bring up Zimmerman's arrest and racist rants etc?

I haven't been watching the trial and have only paid some attention to what is going on but I don't remember hearing about any of these things? If not then why?

may not have allowed that.

If all the previous chatter on this subject in general occured in the UK then a similar case would be dismissed on the basis of inability to conduct a fair trial. Thats why there is already a lockdown on some of the pending News Corp related trials.
