The poster automatically assumes that everyone will recognize someone from just a picture. Some of use are terrible at remembering faces and would appreciate a name to go along with the face so we could look the person up and find out more about them on our own. I have the same problem when people start throwing around acronyms. When I first started reading this site many years ago, (and still today) I have to google an acronym to try to figure out what some of these posters are speaking about.

our liberties. Stealing documents may be necessary against those that would make this a tyranny. Our government has become a tool of international companies and it may well be necessary to declare our independence. Laws are being made to punish dissidents and not corporate thieves. Please side with the dissidents and not the corporate masters.

Especially war profiteers who have taken the lives of so many.....who have so much blood on their hands, and who spread their darkness all over the world. Without a doubt, it is the whistle blowers who are leading the charge against so much corruption in governments.

There are no laws to punish anyone who disagrees with any politician in office. In fact, the politicians in office have widely different views themselves. How is our government a tool of these "international companies?" Are you claiming the elections are invalid? Why is that? Is it that your fellow Americans who may not agree with you do not deserve a vote?

I said that laws protect the 1%. Cheney is a freeman, yet Snowden is being hunted down. Whistle-blowers are punished and the crimes they reveal go uncorrected and unpunished. Wall Street crimes go unpunished while marijuana smokers go to prison.

" How is our government a tool of these "international companies?" Have you heard of Citizen's United? How about NAFTA, CAFTA, the WTO and now the coup de grace, the TPP. Most of our so-called representatives are owned by corporations, international corporations. Citizen's United allows foreign governments to buy our so-called representatives.

" In fact, the politicians in office have widely different views themselves. " I disagree. When Georgie Bush said "Let me kill Iraqi children." Our so-called representatives couldnt agree fast enough. They only disagree on how much to cut Social Security.

" Are you claiming the elections are invalid?" Depends on your definition of "invalid". Our presidential elections in 2000 and 2004 were invalid by my definition. In 2016 when corp-candate 1 runs against corp-candidate 2, will that be valid? Can any election via electronic machines be considered valid?

if Democracy functioning, correct?

Libeling our elected representatives without proof - classy. Why? Because they want to be re-elected, which means they will vote as their constituent majority prefers, according to their research.

It all boils down to "people who disagree with me are immoral" but it's easier to say "the corporations" which doesn't sound quite so insulting to those voters.

also didnt get what you want.

Democracy isnt working when corporations can literally buy elections.

Democracy isnt working when elections can be stolen.

Democracy isnt working when voters can be disenfranchised by the millions.

Democracy isnt working when our so-called representatives vote for laws that conflict with the Constitution.

Democracy isnt working when our government secretly spies on us.

When you say "people who disagree with me are immoral", are you claiming to be quoting me? If so, it's a lie and it's dishonest either way. It's immoral for our government to end food-stamps for the poor. It's immoral to torture. It's immoral to "double tap" kill people with drones. It's immoral to turn our country over to corporations via "agreements" like TPP.

And I think it's immoral to side with the corporate authoritarian state against the people.

Proof? Insults the voters. Again, I don't get what I want, other voters' wants don't matter or are immoral, and that means "the corporations" must be "buying" the elections.

Malala Yousefzai, who was shot by Pakistani Taliban last year, addressed the UN Youth Assembly on her 16th birthday and called for improvements in global education.

The UN has declared her birthday, July 12, as "Malala Day".

She started the speech with a prayer.

There is no way Wendy could be punished for what she did. Our law allowed it. We have no Taliban. Women in this country can be educated. The government is not authoritarian (in fact saying it is just begs a comparison with the Taliban). We may have a few issues, but Wendy was able to be educated, run for office and as a politician in power, speak her and her constituents' views.

The search for a hero is kind of pathetic, especially in a country like this.
