Toshi Seeger, Wife of Folk-Singing Legend Pete Seeger, Dies at 91

Toshi Seeger, whose husband the folk singer Pete Seeger has credited for at least half his success — from helping to organize the first Newport Folk Festival to campaigning to clean the Hudson River — died on Tuesday at their home in Beacon, N.Y. She was 91.

The article, very worth a full read: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/12/arts/music/toshi-seeger-wife-of-folk-singing-legend-dies-at-91.html?_r=0

A sad day...but man o man, what a life they shared.

Pete Seeger is today. As Pete said, she was definitely the brains in the family. My condolences to the Seeger family.

I love both of them so much, and once had the chance to shake Mr Seeger's hand

I wish Mr Seeger the strength, serenity and love to get through this

That being said, 91 is a GOOD run

So will many of us here in the Hudson Valley.
She was like a second mother to many of us.

On the brighter side, she passed in her sleep, among friends, and lived a full life of 91 years.

Even so, there will never ever be another Toshi.

I am glad that I gave her a big hug last month at Revival.
