The "new" Charles Atlas?

For those of us old enough to remember the old body-building ad of Charles Atlas in the back of comic books, we pause at how the world has changed.

In the short comic-strip ad, a bully comes up to a skinny guy on the beach and kicks sand in his face. After the embarrassment, the skinny guy takes the Charles Atlas body-building course and flattens the bully with a right haymaker the next time they meet on the beach.

But times have changed. The skinny guy no longer gets himself into shape so he can defend himself. Now, he gets a concealed carry permit. That is his equalizer. Nobody will kick sand in his face anymore. The law says that he can kill the bully.

As our country slides precariously into anarchy and tyranny, justice disappears. Fear replaces reason. The skinny guy lies on the beach with his new love, a 9mm Ruger. Neighbors become distrustful of neighbors as law and order breaks down. Is this the new America?

the skinny guy can go kick sand in the big guy's face knowing full well that if the big guy decides to beat him up he can just shoot him.
