Because there seems to be two different Americas right now. One for the connected (and that doesn't necessarilty mean wealthy) and one who those who aren't.

Doomed to be an asshole for the remainder of his days. Kind of like a George Bush type. Funny how they're the ones who call for people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
