If so, it could be that she planned to cash in on her civic duty from the get-go.

(1,918 posts)I just felt she would try to pull some bullshit. AND I thought the jurors were planning on keeping quiet for a while. What happened to that?

(31,706 posts)...at least in the court case I served on. Those notes were collected prior to deliberations and I would suspect that the judge had them taken as part of the public record of the trial.
I'm more likely to believe that hubby was doing all the legwork while the trial was going on to arrange the teevee and book deals...

(25,183 posts)to photograph them? Especially given how tiny high resolution cameras can be these days. Of course, we never saw the jury members, how would we know if one was wearing a piece of jewelry that wasn't really what it seemed?
In any case, writing stuff down helps you memorize it for short term memory, anyone who took notes in class that they couldn't use during test taking knows that. She could have started scribbling the second they got back to the sequestered hotel room. I doubt that anyone searched her luggage or personal effects.

(31,706 posts)...is to keep duplicate notes or to keep a diary that you compiled notes and thoughts after each day's session. I doubt the judge was keeping track of where the notes went outside of court hours as long as it didn't appear in the next day's paper. There's no need to bug the proceedings as the entire trial was broadcast live...I'm more likely to think she's going off short-term memory.
Cheers...
