Meet Sharlene Martin, B37's (now former) literary agent

Last edited Tue Jul 16, 2013, 01:33 AM - Edit history (1)

Ms. Martin (juror B37's new literary agent) appears to be a full time handler/developer of tabloidy publicity driven books including the OJ "If I did it" book. (It is described here as being the Goldman's, but IIRC that was due to them gaining ownership of the property as an asset due to the large unpaid judgment they won from OJ in the civil trial.)

For strangeness, though, nothing can top the title of MaryJo Buttafuocco's book—"Getting It Through My Thick Skull" (Amy Fisher shot Mrs. Buttafuocco in the head, and Mrs. Buttafuocco spent years denying that Fisher and her husaband had been sexually involved, so it's a double meaning... but still really weird.)

She has represented numerous New York Times bestselling nonfiction books including Raffaele Sollecito's book, Honor Bound: My Journey to Hell and Back with Amanda Knox, HLN's Jane Velez-Mitchell's IWant, Suzanne Hansen's You'll Never Nanny in this Town Again, MaryJo Buttafuocco's Getting It Through My Thick Skull, and The Goldman Family's If I Did It based on the OJ Simpson murder of Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson. Additionally, she represented true crime reporter Diane Dimond's investigative book into the "White House Gatecrashers" entitled Cirque Du Salahi. She recently sold, in a major deal, Impossible Odds: The Kidnapping of Jessica Buchanan and Her Dramatic Rescue by SEAL Team Six to Atria Books/Simon and Schuster, May, 2013.

but I don't know what the maximum length is. If I remember correctly with Casey Anthony it was 6 months.
