and of course this would be so she could get a book deal. Her husband had prepared everything so she could serve. He would handle housework, he would edit the Today Show so she could watch it etc. She answered everything in a way that really showed she wanted on and would not come across as having a bias. Zimmerman seems to get excited about here when she says something to the effect that the people "Rioting" (These were protests, not riots) in Sanford were over reacting.
If I had been on the prosecution there is no way I would have let her on after what she said about the protests.

(15,189 posts)They did let him go, but then arrested him again. It would also benefit Sanford police if "something" were to happen to GZ so he couldn't sue them. Look, he committed suicide and shot himself in the back of the head. Case closed.

One good prospect for both sides was a recent high school graduate who sounded genuine & fair-minded; I suspect he wasn't chosen because he had classmates who knew Trayvon. This potential juror wore a muscle shirt to court & Don West snidely asked him several times if he was cold (the guy answered "no" , but the real clincher was when West ended his questioning with strong, contemptuous words about how inappropriately he was dressed for court.
One potential juror was a young, professional woman who said during jury selection that she hadn't paid attention to the Zimmerman case because "people die all the time". She was so lackadaisical that, in hindsight, I think she would have been chosen if she hadn't insisted that she needed to be with her family during her pregnancy (seriously).
Juror #37's public comments about the verdict confirms my first impression of the jury. Airheads. Three jurors were not strong enough to stand up to pressure.
