(55,445 posts)No matter how it happened, an unarmed teenager had no business ending up dead the way he did, and with NO accountability for it.
There were multiple things at fault, IMO:
* A bad law
* Corrupt law enforcement, from the police who didn't want to press charges to the prosecution, who may not have put honest effort into their case
* Ignorant jurors (at least in one case based on her interview), who brought their own prejudices to bear on the evidence

(29,047 posts)that was done. Some people have said that reasonable doubt was fair, based on what was presented to the jury, but the events leading up to the trial were not fair. For them, the poll may not reflect their actual views.

(17,742 posts)after hearing her, I am convinced that jury bias/ignorance was the full explanation of the verdict. Had nothing whatsoever to do with the trial and evidence.
