Gay Rights Activist Tortured and burned with Iron, has his feet and finally his neck broken.

This is why we need to set an example that gay people are human beings worthy of equal treatment.

This is why we need to stop our right wingers from funding and supporting horrible governments who hate homosexuals.

This is why letting FOX and other broadcasters go on and on with their lies, hate and calls to violence must be stopped.

This is why DU is an amazing place where gay people are just people.

A prominent gay rights activist in Cameroon was tortured and killed just weeks after issuing a public warning about the threat posed by "anti-gay thugs," Human Rights Watch said.

Friends discovered the body of Eric Ohena Lembembe at his home in the capital, Yaounde, on Monday evening after he was unreachable for two days, the rights group said in a statement Tuesday.

One friend said Lembembe's neck and feet looked broken and that he had been burned with an iron.

Lembembe was among the most prominent activists in one of Africa's most hostile countries for sexual minorities. First as a journalist and later as executive director of CAMFAIDS, a Yaounde-based human rights organization, he documented violence, blackmail and arrests targeting members of Cameroon's gay community. He was also a regular contributor to the Erasing 76 Crimes blog, which focuses on countries where homosexuality is illegal, and he wrote several chapters of a book released in February on the global gay rights movement titled "From Wrongs to Gay Rights."

homosexuals. These fucking jerkoffs either don't give a shit or don't understand what this kind of language does to people. I'm going with the former BTW.

to fill the role of personal surrogate and host of campaign events in some States during his first primary run. McClurkin is an 'ex gay' hate preacher who says Christians have to take the gloves off and go to war on gays because we gay people are trying to kill Christian children. Michelle Robinson Obama now First Lady said McClurkin was her favorite singer of 'the gospel' and Barack now President Obama said Donnie would always have a place at his table, both refused to replace him and neither has ever apologized for this. They followed up with Rick Warren at the inauguration a few days after he'd said this:

And yes those words lead to violence, death, broken families, and no, Warren has not apologized, but he has gone to Africa to 'teach the way'.

The President says he's a big Christian when he does these things, that faith says don't pick at others when you have worse flaws yourself. Centrist Democrats like the Obamas have much amends to make. Their actions have not been forgotten, and they have not asked for forgiveness so it has not been given to them.

since forever.

Weird how it's obvious wrt evrything except sexism....

Just thinking outloud here Guy Whitey!! NOT intended to be singling you out. I just noticed you mention this important point and NO-ONE 's jumped in to give you shit!

Made me think how, when we bring up the same point regarding language that demeans women, it's always bait for argument.

Anyway...Dil D'Oreilly...hah good one.

The OP reminded me of a coworker who was so proud of her church mission years ago to Uganda...or Nigeria, i forget. It was right before the news came out that church missionaries there were encouraging the murderous hate. Makes me feel ill.

If a church preaches against a group of people, they lose their status. I love it.

As a gay person paying taxes, it really makes me mad my tax dollars are supporting churches and schools that preach hate.

Funny, people laugh at me when I say that, but here it is, plain as day.
